Balmer Lawn Hotel Wedding in Brockenhurst | Courtney & James
Courtney and James' wedding was the perfect combination of relaxed, personal and full of fun from beginning to end.
The day started with bridal preparations at the beautiful Balmer Lawn Hotel in the heart of the New Forest. There was such a lovely atmosphere as everyone got ready, with plenty of excitement building ahead of the ceremony.
The couple chose to tie the knot with a registry ceremony in Bournemouth, followed by a brilliant confetti exit on the steps as they were greeted by cheers from family and friends.
After the ceremony, everyone returned to Balmer Lawn to continue the celebrations. Before the drinks reception got into full swing, we made the most of the stunning surroundings for their first portrait session together. One of the highlights was heading down to the river beside the hotel. I even pulled on my wellies so we could get right into the water for a few extra special photos, and it was absolutely worth it.
Courtney and James' two children joined us for part of the session too, creating some beautiful family photographs that I'm sure they'll treasure for years to come.
The wedding breakfast room looked incredible, made even more special by the handmade floral arrangements that Courtney had created herself. Every detail reflected the time, care and creativity that had gone into planning the day.
Later in the evening, Courtney surprised everyone with a stunning second dress, which gave us the perfect excuse to head back outside for another portrait session in the hotel gardens as the light softened. Those quiet moments together made for some of my favourite photographs of the day.
The celebrations finished in style with an incredible live band that kept the dance floor packed all night. There was so much energy, laughter and dancing, making it the perfect ending to such a memorable wedding.
