A Beautiful Buckler’s Hard Wedding | Charlie and Paul
Charlie and Paul’s wedding at the Master Builder’s Hotel at Buckler’s Hard was such a special one to photograph. Charlie is one of my oldest and best friends, so being there to capture her wedding day was a huge honour and definitely a little emotional too!
Set in the beautiful New Forest, near Beaulieu and Brockenhurst, they could not have asked for better weather. The whole day was full of little touches that made it feel so completely them, from the gorgeous flowers by Corbins Florist and Charlie’s wonderfully unique wedding dress, to the lawn games, ice cream bike and, my personal favourite, a kangaroo shot glass!
I was also slightly nervous about my Pic ’n’ Mix stand, mainly because I thought Paul may have gone a little too big on the sweets. Thankfully, it was a huge hit and it was brilliant seeing everyone getting stuck in!
The cake by Amanda Black Cakes looked fantastic, but one of the highlights of the day had to be Paul’s groom speech. It was genuinely one of the funniest I have ever heard, and we were absolutely crying with laughter.
It was such a brilliant, relaxed and joyful day, full of personality, laughter and so many lovely moments. From the beautiful setting at Buckler’s Hard to all the personal touches that made the day theirs, it was a wedding I will remember for a very long time. I am so glad I got to be there to photograph it.
