More Information

Family sessions are relaxed, slow paced and centred around connection rather than stiff posing. I’ll gently guide where needed, but the aim is always to capture your family naturally, whether that’s muddy boots in the forest, little hands collecting treasures, windswept walks along the coast, or quiet moments together.

Sessions usually take place outdoors around the New Forest and coastline during the softer hours of the day, when the landscape feels at its most atmospheric. I want the experience to feel calm and enjoyable for everyone involved, especially little ones. There’s no pressure for children to sit still or smile at the camera. Some of the most beautiful moments happen in between.

Family sessions are £280 and include a two hour shoot and carefully edited digital gallery.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • That’s absolutely fine, and very normal. My sessions are designed to feel more like a relaxed walk or little adventure than a traditional photoshoot. There’s no pressure for children to sit still, perform or smile at the camera. I gently follow their lead and capture the natural moments as they unfold.

  • I always recommend soft, neutral or earthy tones and avoiding large logos or bright patterns. Texture photographs beautifully, especially knitwear, linen, denim and natural fabrics. Once booked, I’m very happy to help with outfit guidance if needed.

  • Most sessions take place outdoors around the New Forest, coastline and surrounding countryside. I’m always happy to suggest locations depending on the season, light and the kind of atmosphere you’re drawn to.

  • Some of my favourite photographs have been taken in wild weather, but if the forecast looks particularly heavy we can absolutely rearrange. New Forest weather can be unpredictable, so I usually make a final call the day before.

  • Family sessions usually last around two hours. This gives plenty of time for children to settle, explore and relax without things feeling rushed.

  • You’ll receive a carefully edited online gallery of high resolution digital images to download and keep. A rough guide for the amount is approximately 50 per hour.

  • Always. Dogs are very welcome.
