After a picnic in the car waiting for the rain to pass, we ended up having the loveliest family walk through the woods at Wilverley. Damp forest paths, muddy boots and that beautiful quiet light that seems to appear after summer rain.
These slower afternoons outdoors always end up being my favourites.
